Waiting in line to make your dreams come true at the happiest place on earth.

Monday, I went to Disneyland with two kindergarteners. Each had a different idea of the perfect day and if you know Disneyland there will be lines to make these dreams come true. Jack's greatest desire is to become a Jedi master but in order to make his dreams come true he has to go to the Star Wars training academy and fight the Dark side. We waited for 45 minutes for the show to start. Hold your breath, Jack was picked to be in the show and was able change his status from youngling to padawan (he is very detailed about the stages to becoming a jedi master). The whole adventure sucked up about one and a half hours out of our day, but he felt accomplished.
Melania, on the other hand, was happy for Jack and patiently waited for the Star Wars extravaganza to be completed. However, she had her own idea of heroes to meet, here comes the next line. We then got in a 45 minute line to go into Pixie Hollow and meet the Fairies and hold your breath, Tinkerbell. These were two completely separate goals and types of heroes but each child waited patiently and without complaining for what they were passionate about.
How much more should we as Christians, be patient about waiting on the Lord. How much more passionate should we be to wait on His will and to hear Him say when we get to the end of the line-our life, "well done thou good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of the Lord." We all have earthly heroes but let's keep our eyes on meeting the ultimate hero who died for us-Jesus.
